good news today…. i gave in/up my main living room… to have SOMETHIng instead of NOTHING and God is faithful!
The plan worked out… dreamt some new ideas… implemented them this morning… new plan in the works by my BIL… and have great hope and expectation again….. whooohooo!!! and found a place for a love seat and a chair… perfect for mama chat while kids play in the everything room… tv/toy/school! lol
i am pleased…. thanks for riding my roller coster!
The house plans have been put on a complete hold. The rooms were not as big as I had thought. with furniture it just won’t work…. no point in having the same problems I have now. We’ve considered adding on two sides… but at so much more cost.
Even building new is alot….. maybe more than we want… IDK…. I’m feeling shocked… after nearly a year of planning and creating a floor plan that I felt was perfect…. it just isn’t…. when you are designing your own house design it around the furniture you want…. lol….
All hope is not lost…. we just aren’t sure what to hope… It’s hard to put more money here… .but staying here means putting more money here to make it work better for us… that’s what most people do anyway right? just make do……….. :)
I am thankful for all the things my husband has done to this beautiful house! It’s huge and more than a lot of people have… and it’s home…. will get busy making it more of what we can live with until something changes…. what else can you do?!
figured out a way! Using the storm cellar as laundry! whooohoo! we have to have a place to put clothing. even in dressers we’d need 4! at LEAST! and the storm cellar will be bigger than what it shows in the picture! i forgot about that! whoohoo… so it will be additional storage too! whew! It’s crammed… for sure… but it’ll be summer… I’m hopeful! At least there are the basics… it should be easy to keep tidy as long as I don’t let too much stuff wonder down… Maybe I’ll have them put an actual closet there where thee coat/shoe station is… i’ll need one later…..

I should have told how big that basement room will be….. 22×28 feet…. which is smaller than our main floor now… and will have to add clothing storage, a washer/dryer and beds…. if it had even just one more 12×12 room in addition to it… i would do it in a heartbeat…. but wow… i’ll have to see a plan with even just the minimum in it…. It’s hard to believe it would fit…. I just don’t see how we could cram in with any less for 6 months….
sm desk, sm table, 2 full beds, 1 king, clothing storage, tv, couch, 2 chairs, sm toy storage, sm book shelf, bathroom, fridge, dishwasher, stove, sink, a few cabinets/counter, washer/dryer, shoes/coats by the cellar door.
aj, that’s like half of your basement, I think, if ben remembers correctly… maybe that will give an idea of the size??
maybe ben will consider digging out a bit more of the yucky basement to make another bedroom or two!? just thinking out loud… thanks for your encouragement! :) Ben is really excited… I’m smacked in the face with the reality! lol
